Introduction
I am a licensed Toronto Chartered Accountant who is committed to offering value added accounting services to small businesses across the city. Over and above what you would naturally expect from a Chartered Accountant, I offer specialized services with a personal focus on you and your business.
My Background
Before becoming an accredited Chartered Accountant at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CAs) in 2007, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Toronto. Following my undergraduate education, I completed highly acclaimed investment courses at the Canadian Securities Institute.
During the time I was studying to become a CA, I filed tax returns and became a part-time Bookkeeper at a small retail service company where I conducted valuations, processed transactions, reconciled accounts, and executed full monthly financial evaluations of the company.
After receiving my formal education, I became a Credit Officer at a successful financial institution where I gained a wealth of experience in the Loans Department as I examined the financial stability of potential borrowers, qualified borrowers, and conducted risk analyses.
For the next several years, I acted as Staff Accountant for a small Chartered Accountants’ firm where I handled engagements – including compilations, reviews and audits – I prepared tax filings, produced year end reports, and developed new computer software templates for tax purposes and financial statements.
In the years before I began my own practice, I was a Senior Accountant and Auditor at a large public accounting firm in downtown Toronto. Here, I produced year-end financial statements for a wide range of company clients, I managed the engagement team, provided training to staff members, and I developed and implemented an effective mentoring program for students studying to become Chartered Accountants.
